Registered under the Capital Markets & Services Act, 2007 and regulated by the Securities Commission, MIH plays an important role as an intermediary between companies seeking capital through IPOs and investors who subscribe to the securities of the issuers. MIH works closely with the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and its subsidiary, the Bursa Malaysia Depository Sdn Bhd to dispense innovative and investor-friendly securities issuance services through technological and business process improvements. 

 Todate, MIH has administered the IPOs of more than 572 companies including Malaysia's biggest IPOs in recent years, namely, Malaysia Airports, Maxis Communications, CIMB, Astro, AirAsia, Bursa Malaysia, Maxis Bhd, Malaysian Marine And Heavy Engineering, Petronas Chemicals, Bumi Armada, Gas Malaysia, Felda Global Ventures, IHH Healthcare, AirAsia X, Westports Holdings and UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Berhad. It has been the market leader in terms of number of clients served between 1999 to 2009 and continues to maintain its industry leadership. It was also the first issuing house that entered into partnership with participating banks and finance companies in 1999 to offer electronic share application services to the investing public as well as internet share applications in 2004.
