PRIVACY NOTICE - PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT 2010

At Malaysian Issuing House Sdn Bhd (“MIH”), we value your privacy and strive to protect your  personal information in compliance with the laws of Malaysia. MIH will only collect and use your  personal information in accordance with such laws (including the Personal Data protection Act  2010), [PDPA] this Privacy Notice and/or the privacy terms in any agreement(s) that you may  have or will enter into with MIH.

When you apply for an IPO, you may be required to provide MIH with your personal data. In  doing so, you consent to its use by MIH in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

This privacy Notice outlines how MIH collects, uses, maintains and disclosure your personal  data in respect of investment and how we protect personal data.

INFORMATION COLLECTION

TO ENSURE THAT WE SUCCESSFULLY PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION AND TO EFFECTIVELY MANAGE OUR BUSINESS. WE COLLECT AND MAINTAIN YOUR  INFORMATION FROM YOU, BANKS, BURSA MALAYSIA, IPO ISSUERS AND STOCKBROKERS WHEN YOU SUBCRIBE TO SHARES DURING IPOs ADMINISTERED BY US.

HOW IS YOUR DATA COLLECTED

Generally your personal data are collected through various methods:- 

1. Personal data which are directly / voluntarily provided by you by way of application
2. Personal data which are available in the public domain
3. Personal data related to your application with us or third parties and
4. From third parties such as Bursa Malaysia / Agencies / Stockbrokers / IPO Issuers and Participating Financial Institutions / Authorised Financial Institutions.

PROVISION OF INFORMATION

As an IPO applicant you have the right in deciding the information that you wish to provide and  we may require you to provide us with the mandatory information which we may deem relevant from time to time to enable us to process your application and offer our services to decide not to provide the same, we may not be able to offer our services to you.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA 

We will use your PERSONAL DATA in the ordinary course of business which may include the following purposes:

1. To process application through Application Form, Electronic Share Application or Internet Share Application
2. For identification and Central Depository System verification and
3. To communicate to you including responding to your enquiries and resolving any service issues or complaints.

TO WHOM WE MAY DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION

As a part of providing you with our service and the management and / or operation of the same we may disclosure your personal information’s [to the extent necessary] to the following:-

1. Third party services disclosure and share your Personal Data among our group of companies authorized agents and service providers who have agreed to keep your personal information confidential for purpose of providing you our service which shall not render us responsible or liable.
2. Regulatory government bodies or other authorities if required or authorised to do so to discharge any regulatory function under any law or in relation to any order or judgment of a court.
3. The Securities Commission, Bank Negara Malaysia, The Police, The Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission, Companies Commission of Malaysia, Registrar of Societies and other supervisory, governmental or relevant authorities.
4. Any other person which MIH may think fit.
5. Auditors, professional firms or entities.

AMENDMENT
